Some of our most devoted repeat guests travel alone — and many booked their first departure nervously. Here is what solo travellers should actually know.
The single supplement
There are no dedicated single cabins; solo guests take a full Grand Deluxe Suite at single-occupancy rates, which carry a supplement that varies by season. Ask us for current solo pricing on any departure on the dates page — as the authorized source we quote the operator's real rates.
You are never awkwardly alone
This is the part nervous solo travellers underestimate. With ~28 guests, shared excursions each day and evenings in the pub car, the week has a natural house-party rhythm. Dining can be as social or as private as you like — tables for one are respected, tables of six happen organically by Wednesday.
Practical comforts
Excursions are guided and coach-based, so there is no solo logistics burden anywhere in the week; the crew quietly look after guests travelling alone. Northern Spain is also one of Europe's most relaxed, safe regions to wander during free time in port towns.
Our honest advice
Book spring or September departures for the most international guest mix, and come to the pub car the first night — the week is warmer for it. More questions? The Ultimate FAQ and our specialists are here.
